1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Mikey Markets ("we," "us," "our"), based in Metro Manila, Philippines, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit mikey.markets (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us — for example, by submitting a contact form or booking a call.
We are based in the Philippines and this policy is drafted with reference to the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules. Because visitors and clients may be located elsewhere, we also address rights available under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the U.S. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) where applicable to you.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact form: name, email address, and the message you write.
- Booking a call: when you use the embedded scheduling widget, information such as your name, email, phone number, and selected time slot is collected directly by our scheduling provider (GoHighLevel/LeadConnector) — see Third-Party Service Providers.
- Marketing opt-in: if you tick the optional "occasional emails" checkbox on our contact form, we record that consent.
Information collected automatically
- Font delivery: this Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts' servers, which necessarily receive your IP address as part of that request (Google's font-serving infrastructure does not set tracking cookies, but the request itself reaches Google's servers).
- No analytics cookies today: as of this policy's last-updated date, we do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other visitor-tracking script. If that changes, this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated first, and the cookie banner on our Site will ask for your consent before any such script loads.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage discovery calls and client meetings.
- To send you marketing emails, but only if you have opted in.
- To maintain records required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance.
- To improve and secure the Site.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (e.g., marketing emails), performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering one (e.g., responding to a project inquiry), and legitimate interests (e.g., keeping the Site secure). Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, processing is likewise based on your consent, or as necessary to fulfill a contract or comply with a legal obligation.
5. Cookies
Our Site uses a small number of cookies, described in full in our Cookie Policy. In short: some cookies are strictly necessary (set by our embedded booking calendar so it functions), and we currently set no analytics or advertising cookies of our own.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited information with the following service providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
- GoHighLevel / LeadConnector (booking calendar & CRM) — processes name, email, phone, and scheduling data when you book a call.
- Google Fonts — serves typefaces; receives IP address as part of the network request.
- Your email provider — if you use the "Send a Message" form, it opens your own email client and the message is delivered via your provider and ours (Google/Gmail).
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
7. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Beyond the service providers listed above, we disclose information only: with your consent; to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request; to protect our rights, safety, or property; or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., a merger or acquisition), with notice to you where required by law.
8. International Data Transfers
Because our service providers (including Google and GoHighLevel/LeadConnector) operate infrastructure in multiple countries, your information may be processed outside the Philippines or your home country. Where required, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.
9. Data Retention
We retain contact-form and booking information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, deliver services, and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymized. Marketing opt-ins are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Be informed that your data is being processed;
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or outdated data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten") or blocking of your data;
- Request a portable copy of your data;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Philippines, the National Privacy Commission; in the EU/UK, your local supervisory authority; California residents may also exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including relying on reputable third-party providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
